About the Foundation

The Ivies & Pearls Educational Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Greater Kansas City community by providing financial support for programs that promote scholarship, community education, and essential services for women, youth, and families.

The Foundation was incorporated on February 14, 2017, and received its federal tax-exempt status on August 18, 2017. Operations were officially established in August 2019. Our educational and charitable initiatives serve as the philanthropic arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Xi Tau Omega Chapter.

We work to expand educational opportunities for underprivileged and underserved youth and adults, offer financial assistance to college-bound scholars, and sponsor community education. In partnership with local organizations, we strive to deliver educational, financial, and community-based support for civic and humanitarian programs.

Additionally, through building and establishing partnerships/collaborations with private and public entities, the Foundation is committed to generating funds that sustain community programs.
